Women's Open of Virginia - Farmington CC
Jillian Drinkard, PGA (Farmington CC) claimed the low MAPGA Professional honors after finishing T5, and Shannon McKew-Strawoet (River Bend Club) also claimed a Top 10 finish!

As we celebrate the MAPGA’s Centennial in 2025, we salute the Executive Directors who have guided the Association dating back to 1966.
These Executive Directors, past and present, have directed the operations and activities of the MAPGA, which includes running an extensive tournament ...schedule, a robust junior golf program and managing a membership of 1,200+ members and associates in Maryland, Virginia, the District of Columbia and small portions of Pennsylvania and West Virginia.
Congratulations and thank you to the MAPGA’s seven past and present Executive Directors, including: Col. Roland Weeks, 1966-1977; Dave Leonard, 1978-1980; Adele Belizzi, 1980-1984; Carl Rasnic, 1984-1986; J. Varden Dyer, 1986-1995; Col. Dick "The Skull" Johns, 1995-2012; and current leader of the MAPGA, Jon Guhl (who is also celebrating his 30th year with the Section this year!). #mapga100
Join us in celebrating Alex McNeil, our 28th MAPGA Section President as we continue to commemorate our centennial!
#PresidentSalute: Alex McNeil served as the 28th President of the Middle Atlantic PGA Section in 1980, followed by his role as Honorary President in 1981 during our leadership... restructuring.
McNeil's impressive career spans decades of service to golf in our region. Beginning as Head Professional at CC of Staunton (1970), he later served at Arrow Wood (1975), International (1979), and Washington Golf (1982-1993).
His leadership journey included roles as Virginia Chapter Officer (1972), Secretary-Treasurer (1973), and Chapter President (1974-1975). At the Section level, he served as Vice President (1974), Treasurer (1977), Secretary (1978), before becoming Section President.
McNeil was one of only two Virginia Chapter Presidents who rose to become Section Presidents, alongside Wayne Holley.
