STATE OPEN OF VIRGINIA ANNOUNCES CAPTECH
AS A PRESENTING SPONSOR

First-year the technology consulting firm will sponsor

 

Stafford, VA (July 6, 2022) — The State Open of Virginia has announced CapTech Ventures, Inc. (CapTech) will be a presenting sponsor of this year’s event.

 

The State Open of Virginia presented by CapTech is the premier golf tournament in the Middle Atlantic region that is co-conducted by the Virginia State Golf Association (VSGA) and the Middle Atlantic PGA (MAPGA). This year’s event will take place July 15-17 at Independence Golf Club in Midlothian, Va.

 

“CapTech is proud to be the presenting sponsor of the 2022 State Open of Virginia and we look forward to an exciting tournament at Independence Golf Club,” said CapTech Chairman Sandy Williamson. “We are harnessing the power of data and technology to elevate the experience of every golfer no matter how they engage with the game. As the Official Digital Technology Services Agency of the PGA of America, we are collaborating with organizations like the Virginia State Golf Association and the PGA of America Middle Atlantic Section to make the game fun for all.”

 

The field is made up of 144 amateurs and professionals who make the field through exemptions or qualifiers. Evan Beck of Virginia Beach, Va., is the defending champion.
