Middle Atlantic PGA Golf Professional Rick Schuller Goes Back-to-Back in Capturing the Senior Open of Virginia for 2nd Straight Year

Director of Instruction at Meadowbrook Country Club in Richmond Makes History as the First 4-Time Senior Open of Virginia Winner, and First PGA of America Golf Professional To Win Back-to-Back Championships

Stafford, Va. … (September 12, 2025) – Middle Atlantic PGA (MAPGA) Golf Professional Rick Schuller, the Director of Instruction at Meadowbrook Country Club in Richmond, VA, defended his Senior Open of Virginia  title on September 9th at Independence Golf Club, in Midlothian, VA. He defeated a field of 72 amateurs and professionals aged 50 and over who all qualified for the event, including runner-up and fellow PGA of America Golf Professional, Jimmy Flippen (Waterfront Golf Club), by one shot after rounds of 69-72 for a total score of -3. 

With the victory, Schuller becomes the Senior Open of Virginia’s first four-time winner, and the first PGA of America Golf Professional to win back-to-back championships.
