Schuller & Reiter Win NCR Fall Pro-Net

The National Car Rental Fall Pro-Net presented by Gear/Under Armour and Morell Studios was won by Rick Schuller and his partner Mark Reiter at The Club at P.B. Dye in Ijamsville, Md. Monday.

Schuller and Reiter finished with an impressive net score of 60 that included a bogey. On his own ball, Schuller shot an 8-under-64 with two eagles.

“Even if we won nothing, being out there seeing Rick shoot a 64 was worth the price of admission,” Reiter, a member at Washington Golf & Country Club said. “He was doing really well at the beginning and we both thought it could be a round of 59.”

Schuller began on hole eight and went 6-under through seven holes midway through his round. Reiter provided four shots for the team, enough to beat John O’Leary and Steve Delong by one stroke.

“We had a ball, Mark is a real pleasure to play with,” Schuller said. “This is a fantastic tournament, the course was conducive to scoring and we really enjoyed it.”

Sean English and O’Leary tied for the Open Player of the Year Professional Division with scores of 67. Schuller won the Senior Division with his 64.

The next MAPGA Section Event is the Club Car Head Professional Championship  and the Teaching Professional Championship at the Univ. of Maryland Sept. 25. The registration deadline for both events is Sept. 20.
