MAPGA APA Competes in 2016 Indy Cup

The Middle Atlantic PGA Assistants Professional Association competed against the Philadelphia Assistants Organization in the 2016 Indy Cup, falling short with a final score of 24-16.

The event was divided into four separate rounds and formats. The APA defeated the PAO in both the scramble and foursome formats to take a 9.5-6.5 lead after the first day of competition.

The PAO then gained the lead and ultimately won the event with their play on the second day, winning the better ball and singles competitions.

The APA team consisted of captain and APA President Brian Dix, Matt Summers, Kent Graham, Jimmy Kowalski, Bryce Abrams, Mike Wood, Jim Bennett, Matt Decker, Mike Gertzberg, Kelly King, Mike Mauk, Brett Robertson, Frank O’Connell, Rupe Taylor, Billy Hoffman and Blake Brookman.
