The Middle Atlantic PGA is hosting the 8th Annual College Golf Seminar. This seminar will feature collegiate golf coaches from different divisions including NCAA Division I, II, and III. Our panel includes:
Mac Thayer-President of Junior Golf Scoreboard, Terry Porter– Loyola (scholarships and financial aid), David Maloney– Exercise Physiologist on the PGA Tour and Washington Capitals, Jay Hardwick-VT Men, Kristen Simpson-U of MD Women, Pat Owen-Naval Academy Men, Shannon Briggs-Longwood Women, Mike Larkin-Towson Men, Pete Gyscek-Washington & Lee Men & Women, Chris Haas-Randolph-Macon Women, Rob Ferguson-Marymount Women, Maggie Will-will2golf.com, Scott Moyer-McDaniel Men, Chris Ramer-Stevenson Women & Men, Billy Dylan-UMES PGM, and Matt Bakowicz-Penn State PGM, with more to follow.
The coaches will also discuss the following topics in breakout sessions: Scholarships 101, writing resumes/preparing videos, the recruiting process, official/unofficial visits, competitive schedules, responsibilities as a student-athlete, how to get the attention of coaches, what coaches are looking for at each level, and parent support. After these sessions we will have a question and answer period for parents and juniors to ask any other questions they may have.
THE JUNIOR GOLFER AND PARENTS/GUESTS MUST REGISTER INDIVIDUALLY. It is $50 per person to attend.
